Improving Health Care through Medical Education

AHME is a great organization because it recognizes that everyone who works in medical education can contribute to improving the process. It has established a collegial culture where members are just as likely to offer answers and innovative ideas as to seek them.

Resources Overview

Change is a constant throughout the medical education continuum as well as in the health care system as a whole. Under these circumstances, it is comforting to be part of a community of educators who can help one another navigate these transitions as smoothly as possible.

To supplement the educational programs and publications AHME makes available, the organization provides resources designed to facilitate the establishment of member to member connections and the informal sharing of successful approaches to challenging educational issues that can result from these relationships. The Association also makes it easy for members to reach out to the educational community as a whole and to various regulatory bodies by streamlining access to the resources made available by these organizations.

Thus, through the Message BoardCouncils, Regions, and Other Resources, AHME connects members with their colleagues and with the experts who can assist them in their ongoing efforts to optimize the educational experience provided to the medical students, residents, and faculty members at their institutions.
