For 2024, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston celebrated GME Professionals Day with the SUPERHEROES. The primary focus was the Program Coordinators. Prior to the actual day, the DIO sent notification to the Program Directors, residents and fellows highlighting the importance of this day to coordinators. Also suggested ideas were given on how to celebrate the day within in program. The GME Office also gifted coordinators a bag, a program coordinators survival kit and information about the coordinator advisory group – PACAG. Considering coordinators are located at various buildings within the medical center, the location was strategic. The main medical school building was a mini pick-up station which encouraged coordinators to step away from their desks. Coordinators also had the opportunity to participate in a giveaway. The prize was a book on Graduate Medical Education Interview Templates. Finally, a social media “superhero” frame campaign was launched and shared with various social media groups in the GME community. This campaign has supporters of 100 GME Professionals to date.
